Things that have 'AA' in them but do not suck.

Random follow-up to my previous post:

  • American Airlines
  • Pocket aces
  • Alcoholics Anonymous
  • Hank Aaron
  • Aaron Rodgers (whoops, thanks elk)
  • AA batteries (although AAA batteries suck: they don't last as long, you always have AA when you need AAA, and you often need four of them when two AAs would have done)

you forgot your over-rated cal qb, aaron rogers - who, if the lame 49ers follow their usual pattern of drafting without having a clue, might be dumb enough to pick him over alex smith, just because he's a local - smith, on the other hand, would add some real dimension to the 49er offense - mutually exclusive terms - a real running threat as well - which given their anemic running game can't hurt...

How could I forget? Thanks for reminding me, I added him to the list.

I would think you would have a little higher opinion of Rodgers, since he helped cost your Trojans an undisputed championship in 2003 and almost cost them another back in October (first 23-of-23 on his way to 29-34, 267 yards, against the nation's #1 defense on national TV). I guess championships give you short memories.

At this point, a trained squirrel would add a new dimension to the Niner offense. And the Niners would be dumb not to bring in a popular local player, as someone has to sell tickets for the sorry excuse that franchise has become.

yeah, he had a career game against the #1 team on national television - that exposure made both rogers and cal this year which ended up with both being overrated - he was never the same before or after that, and neither was cal - and you have to remember, he didn't win that game even with a first down on the nine yard line - I just don't see him as the real deal - however, jj arrington is the real deal and should do well as a pro...
